Media city!!
This trip was so exciting! I was so thankful to have been given the opportunity to go on this trip with the L2 students. Me and Tristan had an amazing time exploring the BBC studios and learning all about what goes on behind the scenes of BBC productions. My favourite part was seeing the radio rooms and recording studios, it was so interesting. I loved the recording room with all the different objects for making sound effects and and the crazy foam walls for immersive sound, it was mad! I enjoyed having insight into what a real industry work space is like, it inspired me to do more work with audio and experiment.
Finally, we went to the last bit of the tour and saw the look north studio and where they film the match of the day, its so much smaller than you think!
Then at the end, we got to play around on the fake weather reporter set which was hilarious, we don't give weather reporters enough credit, everything is backwards and they don't know where they are pointing on the green screen, its so difficult!
